He and Sly were the same age. The two greatest pop "composers" of their era (in my estimation), gone within a few days of each other. Thanks, guys--we were so lucky to experience it.

What are the chances?

The radio news reader who informed me of his sad passing was named Brian Wilson!

I adored the surf’s-up and hot-rod songs as a child and teenager. Later in life I got an incredible second-wind with their more subtle songs and also their more complex songs.

Vale Brian Wilson and thanks for the fun times and also for the heartbreakingly beautiful introspection.

I’m in awe.

Growing up in Sydney’s north, I was very much a “surfie chick” and The Beach Boys were part of that culture. Good Vibrations still lifts my spirits to this day. Farewell Brian and thank you. 🏄🏻‍♀️

Aged 19 In 1985 I found a Beach Boys hits 7'' medley. The B side was an unkwown song to me, called "God Only Knows". I hadn't heard such a beauty since The Beatles. So long Brian, thanks for all the music !
