Warm air had me leaning against the open Archive gate and drinking a cup of tea, watching the world go by. The deck outside The Archive door will soon have the tables unchained and the locals and the tourists will be back giving me the chance to blast Jimi Hendrix out of the door with the windows open, the cafe across the road that feeds the deck, encourages it. As I stood there, two young girls were finding a key to go into the next door, I asked “Are you on holiday?” (I know there’s an Airbnb in there). They told me they were from Toronto and loved Porto, they picked the right week to come, I apologised two weeks ago to an older couple from Florida who were holidaying in the cold and the rain.
