Hot sun fell from the sky onto the Porto streets and I was looking for an excuse to bathe in it. Sarah didn’t have a US/European adaptor for her computer and the old one I had here was being awkward, plus I also needed to find a place to buy vinyl mailers so I unlocked and left for the Chinese shop, leaving Sarah behind with irritating algorithms. Vinyl mailers were a long shot but I did find a universal adaptor which worked. I passed by the stereo shop (just one) and spoke to Renato about the quest to get the 1964 Bang & Olufsen amp (that I found in a junk room in Stockholm, years ago) working again. It seems like they have found the problem - the amp won’t work with a magnetic cartridge, it will only work with a ceramic cartridge. Tech minds will delight at the revelation, my mind just nods.
