I read today that if you live in Blackpool, you are likely to live ten year less than if you live in Kensington. I wonder how southern Europe figures? I’m hoping that music keeps you alive, that is if you are easy on the alcohol and the nasty drugs, find some warm weather (not too hot) and a decent diet and some level of exercise beyond walking to the shops. But this report about the north of England versus the south is mostly about the fact that the poorer you are, the shorter your life will be. I’m sure there are exceptions but it’s a disturbing statistic. Coincidentally, I also heard today that the happier you are the longer you will live - what about people who are happy being miserable?
