I have a hole in my shoe in an odd place. It’s at the top on the front as if my nail had speared it, which sounds terrible and as if anyone would wear Blundstones without socks and grow nails that powerful - then they would be claws. But I saw it grow in a day (the hole, not the claw) so I took it to the old fashioned shoe repair man who has a little hole in the wall workshop around the corner and doesn’t speak a word of English. He said he could fix it and secure the other shoe, pre-clawing. I have another pair exactly the same, brand new but the whole breaking them in thing is sooo terrible, blisters, pain on the top of your foot and walking like you're drunk but I suppose I’m going to have to do it.
