To Where I Am Now

There was a librarian’s frenzy in The Archive today. I’m in the process of moving thousands of records along in the shelves as I try to curate this mass of music. I’m also shedding tears for the cover art that was damaged at some point in the store house in England. Some covers are completely destroyed, some are buckled, some are ripped and there’s mold. Sometimes it’s a little, other times it’s a lot. Lou Reed took a big hit but luckily only the later albums. Supertramp was eviscerated as was Be Bop Deluxe. Paul Revere beyond repair, Mogwai mutilated, REM buckled…and on and on and on.
