To Where I Am Now

Monday, hooray another week. So where will it lead, the list of possibilities is so long and one’s list usually revolves around who you are and what you do, so as I’m not an astronaut, I probably won’t be heading for space, and as I don’t drive I won’t be looking for fare in a taxi, but as the curator of The Archive there’s good chance I’ll get down to the record shop. That’s where I met Bob on his last day in town. I was on my way to pick up the half speed master of Crime of The Century (1974) when I heard that Rick Davies had died - and then I heard that Tom Shipley had died and the other day Mark Volman and Ray Mayhew. That’s Supertramp, Brewer and Shipley, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and The Turtles - Happy Together (1967) was the first full price album I ever bought. I have records by all of them in The Archive. Sad. RIP
